| Description: | On the outside, Kiralraes seems a sweet, cuddly, lovable little Enkeyn pup. She soft and round, with plenty of baby fat, covered with a soft fuzz of fur that is brightly teal in color, with warm, copper-brown points and tiny, feathered, currently-vestigial wings which will eventually grow large enough to carry her in flight. There is no specific breed to her slightly rangy build and wide, faintly furred ears, and what she might grow into is anybody's guess. Her eyes are large, soulful pools of silver which are often seen widened with mild panic, nervousness, or tension. |
| Personality: | Perhaps due to the uncertainty of her past, Kiralraes has shown tendencies towards being obsessive-compulsive in her childhood, sometimes to an extreme level. Mostly, she makes detailed plans for the future, right down to which way she is going to take to get to class that day, and if things don't go just as she has expected, she can get extremely tense and stressed, even working herself into panic attacks if the deviation is extreme enough. Other small quirks, like her obsession with keeping her and Athanora's rooms clean and neat, and her compulsion for collecting pebbles of a certain hue and texture, keep revealing themselves as time goes on. The disappearance of her parents has made her very depressed, as well, and at the present she doesn't speak a great deal, not even to 'Nora, herself, and especially not to people she doesn't know. She is extremely nervous, only rarely relaxing into a state of something less than hyper-alertness, and both loathes and craves being alone, making it a common occurrence for her to escape Athanora's attention with adamant expressions of annoyance, only to come crawling back five minutes later, to reassure herself that her bond has not abandoned her. |
| History: | Bonding to Athanora is the first good thing
Kiralraes can remember doing in her life. She was abandoned by her
parents before she knew how to speak and she can only vaguely remember
them. For the past year of her life, she has lived in the care of foster
parents with other orphans, with the unspoken expectation that she would
chose and bond one of the curious off-worlders who had begun arriving on
Kartyn in recent times.
She almost did not make that choice, half-terrified of these strangers who seemed so intrusive, nosy, and loud. However, despite the lethargy of depression, Kiralraes' fear of being alone and subsequently abandoned all over again overcame her fear of the unknown and she did finally make her choice, last of all out of her fellow fosterlings, to the prickly but somehow sympathetic Sythyn woman, Athanora. At the present, she is still too nervous to truly open up to her new bond. |
