| Personality: | Though Ielta does her best and genuinely
wants to please, she is a little... off. One might even call her
"damaged"-- she certainly does. Of all her siblings, she is
the only one in whom her father's insanity manifested: she is
schizophrenic, and has been ever since she was old enough to show
symptoms. Her most prominent symptom is that she regularly hears voices
which aren't there-- she often attributes them to the space station's
circuitry-- and, when stressed or distracted, sees things that aren't
there. She can be paranoid, but not nearly as much as her father, and
there are a few people she will latch onto, now and then, as
"safe" people.
As she gets older, Ielta will get better and better at hiding her "damagedness". At a child, she can't really control herself well enough to pretend she isn't hearing and seeing things, but once she hits adulthood, she gets pretty good at it. She absolutely refuses drugs to deal with her condition, but she still feels embarrassed about it much of the time, hence: she hides it, to the best of her ability. The more stress she's under, however, the harder her symptoms become to conceal. |
