Description:	Though he be little bigger than your average housecat, Tef is hardly your average feline. His thick, course fur is a bright, fiery red-orange, fading only slightly to a paler golden-orange on his belly, marked boldly with blue stripes up and down legs, wing-arms, and tail. The feathers of his wings are similarly colored, the color of flame barred with varying shades of blue, and the tip of his tail is graced with a small, well-groomed tuft of indigo fur. Pointing from between his ears and curving gracefully back and up are a pair of horns, golden and polished to reflection. Like all chaos cats, his eyes are gold, usually half-lidded but bright.
Personality:	Though blindingly charismatic and incredibly amusing, with a way of getting people to laugh along with him at nearly anything, even if they were previously furious with him, Tef is also very arrogant and vain. One usually misses his self-centeredness at first, because he is so outgoing and gets along so well with others, but all his close friends are well aware of it and, when they aren't teasing him mercilessly about it, put up with his tendency to worry more about whether his feathers are in order than, say, whether a wounded comrade has all her limbs, because they love him, anyway. Generally, unless some damage to his person or appearance is threatening, he is very laid back, even lazy, but with Cyr's guidance and idea-fertile brain to get him moving, he can be a holy terror.
Abilities:	As a Fire Chaos cat, Tef's abilities are of the element Fire. He can produce, extinguish, and control flames of all kinds and most sizes: a forest fire or a large house fire might be beyond his powers to influence, but anything smaller he can at least affect if not control directly. He has begun learning the magics affecting passionate emotion, but he hasn't the patience for mastering them yet.
History:	Near the home of the red-and-black Chaos cat deity, Aki-- or copper-furred, if she does not deign to show you her true form-- on the planet of Mardusion, is a rare place where all four breeds of the demon Chaos cats find enough of their respective elements in the same place to be comfortable living together. Tef and his inseparable trio of friends, Cyr, Axa, and Oco, come from the scattered prides that live there, spread out from the shores of the lake, through the trees, and up into the mountains, their own mixed-breed pride being close to the home of the Squall of the Sanctum Dream. They have spent all their young lives so far together, raised together nearly as siblings, never leaving their home. Now, though, grown past cub-hood and into adulthood, the four-- particularly Cyr-- are getting restless. They could roam the world they were born to, Mardusion, with its anthromorphic and sometimes magical populace, wreaking havoc on unsuspecting furries, like most of their kin. But somehow, that just didn't seem quite enough, particularly for the adventurous ringleader Cyr. Nothing will satisfy him but taking his little band off-world, to face new challenges and find new people to make chaos among. To that end he screwed up the courage to approach the Chaos deity herself, for though he was gifted with transportation magic, he not only could not transport his friends, he didn't know where to go! Much amused, Aki agreed to send him and the other three chaos cats off-world, and even gave them a selection of worlds to choose from. Each feline demon found a world they liked best, and Cyr suggested that they visit each in turn, with a return to their home for Aki to send them along again in between each trip. It was agreed on by all, and so they told their leader they were ready. Aki, however, had something of a surprise up her sleeve... like she always does!
Pet:	Pulsar of the Sanctum Dream, a neuter ojee, though not technically belonging to Tef but rather to its home Squall of the Sanctum Dream and caretaker Aki, has something of a friendship with Tef, who spends a lot of time around the Sanctum's grounds. It is perhaps the only one among the ojee who can stand Tef's arrogance, largely because it has a heart of pure gold and really cares the most about how much cuddling it gets, and as long as it doesn't muss up his fur, Tef doesn't mind a bit of cuddling, given that he's quite lazy enough to lounge around a lot.
