Description: As a hatchling, Vir was a cute little thing: a bundle of fur and energy, round with baby-fat and still running around on kit-short legs. Grown up, he's still a bit gawky-looking, as if he isn't put together quite right, which doesn't help his tendency to trip over himself, but to most he looks cute rather than strange. His fur is mainly a silvery white, lacking most of the iridescence of most Light dragons but still managing to shine softly when clean. His pigmentation is technically red, but it looks brown in most lights: dark, rich, red-brown on his belly and neck, golden honey-brown on his tuftings and flip of headfur, and warm chestnut brown on his wings. His eyes are wide and bright, an attractive amber color.

In human form, which Vir learned very early-- even for one whose growth is accelerated, like his is-- and unsurprisingly largely by accident, Vir emerged from a chubby childhood and a rapid and uncomfortable adolescence and into a somewhat gawky, but not unattractive, adulthood. He's thinned out, grown tall, but his limbs still look a little too long and his hands a little too big, and his face is both broad and angular, in an unusual combination. His skin is the dark brown-red of his belly-fur, his perpetually messy hair a contrastingly sparkling white, and his eyes the same warm amber. He prefers clothing in light colors, particularly whites and yellows.

Personality: "Look out world, here I come!" That will be Vir's battlecry-- just before he falls on his face. There's nothing he'd like more than to be able to live up to his portentous name and be a brave, honorable, heroic warrior-- but things always seem to go wrong for him at the last minute. He isn't a klutz, exactly; he means well, he has a good heart, and he's certainly not stupid, but although he tries his hardest and does his best, things always seem to go awry for him, usually at the worst possible time. As unlikely as it is to think that bad luck could be genetic or otherwise innate, what else could explain the misfortune-- be it a bad choice of word or a foot placed wrong or even turning left when he should have gone right-- that seems to follow him? It makes staying optimistic very difficult, at times, but Vir does at least try to keep his spirits up. His brother's constant amusement at his expense doesn't help much, though.

There are a few things Vir can do well, with his strange anti-luck only hedging in on him occasionally, and magic is one of them. He's a natural mage, and he's finally learned how to practice his art rather than pine over what he will probably never be. After all, what he wants is to be a hero: saving lives, doing big things, making himself famous; he has very big daydreams! It only makes things worse that his brother, who he adores and occasionally resents, does have the makings of a warrior-- and he doesn't seem to care!

Though in his daydreams Vir still sees himself as a swordsdragon and knight, he's at least grown comfortable enough with himself, as he's grown up, to know that he has talent as a mage and it can be a useful talent. To some, it might even be as glamorous as being a knight. He isn't quite there yet, still seeing himself as something of a second-class sorcerer to his brother's first-class warrior, but at least he sees the merit in what he can do, and at times even takes a little pride in being able to do something well.

Abilities: Body-heat control, functional magic, psionics (telepathy, teleportation), shapeshifting (human form), verbal speech.
