| Personality: | Although his muteness is only physical, Quatan speaks so little that he might as well be telepathically dumb as well. Once past the pain of his second birth, Quatan embraced his corrupted nature. Remade by Habithi's own mother, the gryphydra sees the Balespawn as something of an older brother and is quietly eager to please. He does not fall all over himself as Illiot does, but should Habithi command him, he will obey with quick and efficient silence. He may be the "younger brother" and one of the smallest of his clutch, but his demeanor brings to mind the stalwart and uncommunicative muscle that all villains seem to have. He is intelligent, however, and is equally efficient when working without direct guidance. |

Blood magic: Dark, cruel, and twisted, the blood magic
inherited from Nysinae draws its power from the pain and suffering of
others. It is ritualistic, worked over the tortured body of a victim,
drawing its strength from the living sacrifice’s lifeblood. This magic
is used for two things: enhancing the strength of the caster and
inflicting suffering upon others. It cannot empower armies or work
wide-scale destruction across the countryside, but it can be incredibly
deadly in the claws of a subtle mage.
