| Personality: | Upon hatching, Nashai was an extremely
self-assured child: he was a stable, polite, serious youngster who did
his best to seem more grown up than he really was. In the position he
had held, as bonded of an important and popular personage, it served him
well to be mature and calm. The loss of his bondmate hit him hard,
however, and most of that front of maturity has shattered. He is very
much a lost, lonely little boy, at the mercy of his emotions and not at
all sure what to do about that. It embarrasses him to be so emotional,
but he can't help himself, and that disturbs him even more. After nearly
a year of childhood spent feeling in control of himself and his
surroundings, the loss of that control is difficult for him to take.
Nashai really is quite intelligent, however, and he has the potential to be a good mediator, with the ability to stay neutral in a debate if he wants to do so. Like everything else, of course, his emotions tend to get in the way at the moment, but as he gets older he'll likely get better at it again. He might even even better at it than he was before his abandonment, since now he will be more in touch with his emotions, and thus more understanding of others and their emotions. And no matter how emotional he gets, he is rarely rude, as he values being polite highly. Being paired with Nonaarama-- though there is not as yet anything even resembling a bond between them, Nonaa is still who Nashai spends most of his time with-- is a very different experience than being paired with his former bond Elera. Nonaarama is much more of a parent figure, at this stage of Nashai's life, than Elera ever could have been, even in an animal form. But at the same time, he doesn't have any kind of expectations of adult behavior from his young charge, and is perfectly happy to look after, play with, and even give baths to the dragon. It seems to be a theraputic experience for Nashai. |
