Personality:	While Brianwen can hunt, she prefers not to and is largely vegetarian, being of an herbivore species of Fleshshifter. Most of the hunting done around the cottage is done by Ranier, a strong and clever dralisk who, though he cannot speak with words, communicates well enough with Brianwen through her own skills. He is protective of her and her collection of pets, and is quick enough to act like a guard dog rather than a hunter if he feels the need.

Personality:	Marquis is a fairly stuck-up dodrian, for all he is very loyal, and fastidious, as well. He likes to be clean, he likes his living space to be neat, and he likes everything and everyone in its place. Perhaps, one might say, he is actually more compulsive than stuck up, but his attitude towards strangers still comes across as arrogant, even for a creature who cannot communicate with most people. He doesn't mind Brianwen-- and, given that he is bonded to her, that is a good thing-- and willingly carries her off-world when she wishes it, but for the most part holds himself aloof from the rest of her little family.
