Description: | With black, white-tipped hair in a messy tousle
around a pointed little face, topped with a pair of gray horns, and bright
black eyes, Enth'old Kay looks every inch the forest sprite. Seeing him in
faun form or just noting the short, gray horns just barely sticking out
from within that curly mane of his only reinforces the image. His skin is
olive brown, on a slender body and round face with an incongruous pointed
chin and angled eyes. Long fingers, strengthened and limbered for music, a
quick step, and a pert grin complete the image of carefree wanderer.
Enth'old is nearly always in a fully human or a faun-like form, out of both personal comfort in those forms and because, in either of his other forms, centauran or fully animal, he is pot-bellied, hare-lipped, short, and furry: hardly attractive, unless you also happen to be a goat! As such, he has a great love for clothes, particularly brightly colored clothes. His rather odd notions about what colors go with what are something of a personality quirk. Also a quirk of his, he keeps his horns in all forms, as if either such a good shifter that he can retain them at will-- or such a bad shifter that he can't seem to get rid of them! Whichever the case, he isn't telling. |
Personality: | Enth'old Kay-- the first thing he'll tell
anyone is to just call him Kay-- is cheerful, friendly, and sociable,
quick to make a friend and quicker to make a group of friends. He's got
high charisma and a stellar sense of humor, very little temper and that a
quick, explosive one that clears quickly, rather than a simmering one that
needs revenge. He's usually quick to forgive, though he might play a prank
or whisper a rumor in his own form of revenge. Anyone attractive-- or
sometimes not attractive, if he's just in the mood!-- spending time with
him will find themselves the recipient of heavy flirting and flattering,
male or female, but when it comes to the latter, that's as far as it goes:
though one might not think it to look at him, Kay is most certainly more
interested in his own sex than the fair sex. For all that, though, he's
not very promiscuous, he just enjoys the game.
Though he isn't particularly gifted with memory, he has trained it up enough to remember a song after one repetition, pick up tricky fingering by watching, and keep in mind every bit of gossip he's picked up about a person. If he says he didn't come to your party or let slip a secret of yours because he forgot, you would do well not to believe him, if you knew about his trained memory, that is, because most people don't expect such a thing from him. Anything regarding music or gardens can hold his attention indefinitely-- or at least long enough to learn what he needs to or fix that information in his memory-- as his only true loves. He is, actually, a fairly good musician with a wide variety of instruments, and a very good one with flute, drum, or just voice, largely because he practiced to get that way, not out of any particular gift. How and when he managed such discipline is anyone's guess, though, because while he is easily the life of a party and an exciting friend, he is also lazy, wildly undisciplined, prone to excesses of food and drink, and incredibly flighty-- which, though it might look like it, isn't the same as forgetting: he's just likely to find something he'd rather do, and not even think that he's already promised to be somewhere else. He can also be terribly stubborn, and downright mean if he thinks his freedom is being challenged. No one, he proclaims, is going to ever tie him down, in any way, shape, or form. |
Abilities: | Though he has no psionic ability to speak of,
Enth'old Kay has fairly strong-- if limited-- Earth Majyck. He cannot do a
variety of things with his ability, but what he can do, he does well. His
power is tied closely with plants-- so closely, in fact, that he tends to
attract them, as if they were thinking creatures. Stand him still long
enough beside an ivy plant, and he might just find himself wrapped in ivy
by the time he wants to move again. There isn't really much he can do
with the talent, aside from raise healthy, happy plants, and occasionally
convince them to help him out, and more often than not he acts annoyed by
their affection. If he were honest with himself, though, he rather likes
the attention, he's just embarrassed to say so. He would probably be
happiest as a gardener, if he would just admit to himself that he likes
such "tedious, dull, dirty work".
As for other abilities, all Kay can really do is play music, sing, maybe dance some, and grow plants. He can't fight-- nor would he want to, and faced with danger, he'd probably quite readily climb a tree or run away-- and he isn't any smarter than your average shifter. |
