The breaking point was when the Star City opened itself up to flights from foreign females. Zionibosch found himself fascinated with the new dragonesses, so exotic and beautiful, and open to whatever mate could catch them! When the shimmery red-orange Ignis arrived and signed up, 'Bosch finally decided that enough was enough: he would convince his rider to let him fly, or... or... something really bad would happen! He kept insisting that he fell in love with the partial-glitz when he first laid eyes on her, and though his bond countered wryly that it was more likely lust he fell in to, he reluctantly agreed to let 'Bosch participate in the flight.

Well, so it wasn't quite love. 'Bosch, after winning that flight and learning that Ignis did not plan to stay on the station, his home, realized that though he was and still is quite fond of her, he was quite capable of living without her, and there was no shame in that. However, he also discovered that flights are quite fun, and when his son Nahigicu let him know about the backwards flight at Eriol, he was determined to go. Though it took a lot of cajoling and even a little behind the scenes manipulation to get his bond to agree, he and Mouse and a whole bunch of other Star City dragons all went to the frenzy. Unfortunately, it wasn't nearly as fun as 'Bosch had hoped it would be: both of the ladies who "caught" him, went on to catch someone else afterwards! The only real enjoyment he got out of the whole trip was getting to know his bond's friend's dragon Cwerty better, and being able to take home a pair of his own offspring to care for.
