Description: Anova's face is plain, with a narrow nose and flat cheeks. Her eyes are a smooth green-blue and slightly narrowed as if constantly suspicious. She is thin and frail-looking, most of her clothing slightly too large for her, and those places where it does fit only accentuate her slight frame and sharp bones. She is pale of skin, as if the sun never touched her, which might not be far from the truth. The only part of her one could call thick or strong would be her hair, flaxen gold and falling below her waist when loose. She generally keeps it tucked behind her tall, tapering ears. Anova has little sign that she is of calyon blood. Her fangs are small and close to useless, making her occasionally-needed feedings difficult, and she has no claws or wings.

Shifting in general is very tiring on Anova's limited physical resources and she prefers not to do it unless necessary, but changing to a chyrith form is slightly easier due to her half-chyrith blood. In this form, she is only slightly more enduring than in her human form. She looks like your typical Poison chyrith, a harsh, grayed green with her bones well-defined under thin skin and fur, and her token smooth, green-blue eyes. Her hair is still luxuriously long, belying the rest of her appearance, and golden blonde. The spines running down her back are bone-white and she has only two tails, both ending in single, brittle claws. She has more control over whether or not her fur emits poisonous gases than do normal Poisons, however, and generally is clean.

Personality: Anova is generally calm and aloof, proud in her power, but behind her mask of surety is fear of her own weakness and a desire for affirmation and acceptance from others. Her heart will readily go out to someone in need, but very rarely will she show it and only occasionally will she have the boldness to act on her compassionate urged. She has a talented mind for business and is not above using her own physical weakness to manipulate things into her favor. Her favorite free time activities, for when she allows herself free time, include reading, writing, and visiting any forest. She is very dependent on her brother, Terramintin, and is constantly either trying to win the affections or fighting with her father, Soradai.
History:  Anovadiell was born the younger of two hybrid children to a calyon father and a chyrith mother, a rare combination and a volatile one. Her father was the reclusive but powerful prince of the Tanzanite House, Soredai Tessaril, and he took her chyrith mother in as a human-shifted prostitute out of some warped form of pity. She lived in his underground mansion and might have even come to care about life during her stay, until her death just after Anova's birth. Together they produced first Terramintin, a strong, healthy boy, then Anovadiell, a weak, sickly girl two chyrith cycles later. The pair's mother lived only long enough to see and name the infant before blood loss, fever, and a Poison's general unhealthiness claimed her; her last smile was for newly christened Anovadiell.

Soradai was never affectionate towards his daughter. To Anova, he was cold and distant, unfeeling and uncaring, while he often awkwardly praised his stronger, more capable son. Anova was constantly torn between fierce hatred for his obvious neglect and desperate pleas for his attention. Her brother was a fond and protective pillar of stability in an otherwise dreary life, concerning himself with her health and defending her case before their father.

Anova was stricken early with a crippling auto-immune disorder which weakened her muscles to the point that she would never be able to walk without the aid of magical or mechanical means. She is victim to a slew of allergies, from fruits to flowers to metals, and has a weak heart. Despite all these, or perhaps because of them, she tries to be as active as possible in life, often to her own downfall and her brother's dismay.

What Anova lacks in strength and stamina she makes up for in shrewdness and business sense. At age fourteen she discovered economics and Terramintin finagled her a portion of their family wealth to invest in several small businesses. At first she faced mountains of opposition: her age, her illnesses, even her hybrid heritage, but with Terramintin behind her and her own determination coupled with her House name, she persevered. Due to her help, insight, and stubbornness the otherwise reclusive Tanzanite House owns several fairly successful enterprises, including a restaurant and a jewlery store in Eloguin and a clothing shop in Seldwin. Still, Soredai has yet to offer her a positive word, much to her frustration.
